Diary Of The Dead
Jason Creed and a small crew of college filmmakers are in the
Pennsylvania woods making a no-budget horror film when they hear the
terrifying news that the dead have started returning to life. Led by
Jason's girlfriend, Debra, the frightened young filmmakers set off in a
friend's old Winnebago to try to get back to the only safety and security
they know: their homes. But there is no escape from the crisis, nor any
real home for them anymore. Everything they depend upon, all that they
hold dear, is fractured as the plague of the living dead begins to spread.
Jason documents the true-life horrors in a tense, first-person style that
heightens the reality of each encounter. Even as his friends die, even as
they are attacked by ravenous walking corpses at every stop along the way,
Jason keeps filming, an obsessive, unflinching eye in the midst of chaos.

I'm Not There
Todd Haynes delivers this dazzling, experimental take on the life of
popular music’s most revered and enigmatic artist: Bob Dylan. In keeping
with the impossible to pin down nature of Dylan himself, Haynes chose to
cast six different actors to portray several incarnations of the
groundbreaking troubadour. The result is a challenging, sprawling work
that spans several decades and genres. Woody (Marcus Carl Franklin) is a
young black child with a folk music obsession; Jack Rollins (Christian
Bale) is an upstart folksinger whose protest songs have ignited an entire
generation; Arthur (Ben Wishaw) is a Rimbaud-esque figure who has begun to
embrace a new form of lyrical poetry; Robbie (Heath Ledger) is a
well-known actor whose marriage to the lovely Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg)
crumbles under the weight of his lifestyle; Billy (Richard Gere) is a
slippery frontiersman who echoes Dylan’s infatuation with the Old West
and American folklore; and, finally, there is the substance-abusing,
confrontational Jude (Cate Blanchett), who represents Dylan in the
turbulent mid-1960s.

The Bank Job
The Bank Job is inspired by an extraordinary true event, a daring,
unsolved robbery, which took place more than 35 years ago in London. A
highly-charged thriller, directed by Roger Donaldson and starring Jason
Statham and Saffron Burrows, it interweaves a heady combination of
intrigue, scandal and danger and has been described by its producers as
"an amazing untold story of murder, sex and corruption". In
September 1971, thieves tunnelled into the vault of a bank in London's
Baker Street and looted safe deposit boxes of cash and jewellery worth
millions and millions of pounds. None of it was recovered. Nobody was
arrested. The robbery made headlines for a few days and then disappeared -
the result of a UK Government 'D' Notice, gagging the press. This film
reveals what was hidden in those boxes. The story involves murder,
corruption and a sex scandal with links to the Royal Family - a story in
which the thieves were the most innocent people involved.

movies I’ve seen in years. The adulation of seeing a multi

morning he'll be moving himself and his belongings into his new found love

relationships. As for Tyg, no such pact. This is a man who's never been

industrial unit near Heathrow Airport is pretty much the back of beyond.
No, Tyg's out to explore; to broaden his horizons; to lose any ignorance
and soak up the hospitality of another nation. But, what are those wild
beast noises coming from the woods and why are there two gangs of bikers
in the area about to settle an old score? Throw in a seven foot, masked,

Instead, he stars as the betrayed husband (first played by Lawrence
Olivier), while Jude Law plays Caine's original role of the rogue who

Sicko
Michael Moore, returned in 2007 with this health-care-industry expose.
Sicko tackles material as controversial as the topics explored in Moore's
other films, yet does so in a way that places the focus on ordinary
Americans affected by the nation's health-care crisis. After providing
some historical background on how US medical care system became so ravaged
and unfair, Moore interviews a series of individuals and families who have
had their lives all but destroyed by the denial of care in the service of
profit. While there are two sides to the gun-control debate and even a
legitimate discourse for how to best wage the war on terror, it's simply
impossible to justify how a baby girl can wind up dead because her
mother's health insurance wasn't accepted at a nearby hospital. Moore
smartly allows this and other stories to be told with little or no
interference, conjuring strong feelings of empathy, rage, and deep
sadness.
